Creative Learning Center (CLC) is beginning enrollment for our fun, individualized, and small social skills development groups in the San Francisco area. These services are available in the students' home, school and community setting. CLC has serviced children with Autism and other similar neurological disorders for 8 years. Programs are developed and/or implemented by Behaviorist, ABA therapist certified RDI, SLP, and Special Education teachers.
Programs run though the extended school year. Spaces are limited. Summer Camp priority is given to students enrolled in the monthly Social Skills and Friendship Therapy groups. Groups are staffed with a 2:1 or 3:1 student teacher ratio (depending on childs behavior). CLC is a Certified, licensed NPS and NPA. Camps are vendorised through the San Andreas Regional Center. SOCIAL SKILLS DEVELOPMENT GROUPS
CLC offers a variety of social skills development groups and private play groups in clients homes, community, and at the CLC clinic. The play groups are developed by a team of professionals including Teachers, (MHRS)Mental Health Resource Specialist, RDI director, behaviorist, SLP director, OT specialists, and Recreation specialist. Children with disabilities are assessed and placed in an age and skill appropriate group. All programs are developed and implemented based on the groups individual and collaborative needs. Groups focus on activities including school playground sports and games, social pragmatics, social referencing, initiating and maintaining social interaction and more. Some groups include interaction with typically developing children. Groups and private therapy are currently offered throughout the bay area including San Jose, Los Altos and now San Francisco.
SUMMER SOCIAL FRIENDSHIP CAMPS 2006
CLC is offering week long summer camps this year at the Bullis site in Los Altos Hills and in San Francisco for children with ASD and other related disorders, ages preschool through 10 years. Each camp will be specifically developed to promote social skills, peer play, language development, expressive feelings, learn friendship skills, and encourage fun, fun, fun. Camps will meet Monday through Friday, 9am-1:30pm. CLC San Francisco (CLCSF) schedule is below:

- Week of July 3rd: Fun with Science (no camp July 4th)
- Week of July 10th: Lets Build
- Week of July 17th: Where the Wild Things Are
- Week of July 24th: Put your Chefs Hats on
- Week of July 31st: More Fun with Water
- Week of Aug. 7th: Hoop it up

Registration/Intake fee of $120 for children who are not current CLC clients (includes 45 minutes clinic visit and review of child’s file) Registration fee is non-refundable if client cancels, $80 will be refunded if CLC is not able to find the appropriate group for the child. Cost is $550 a week (week of July 3rd $440).Cost break down is $425 a week plus, $125 a week for individual behavior management planning and materials. 50% of camp fees are due by June 12, 2006, final payment is due the first day of camp, fees are non-refundable.

Creative Learning Center is a State Certified (NPA) non-public agency and (NPS) non-public school serving individuals with autism and a variety of other similar developmental disorders. CLC services are currently available in the South Bay, Peninsula, and San Francisco. CLC was founded by Tamila Sayar in 1999 as a private agency that focused on the development and implementation of ABA (applied Behavior Analysis) programs. CLC further developed into a fully certified NPA servicing bay area school districts and families in the year 2000. One year later CLC preschool (Foothill Preschool) was founded with a primary focus on typically developing children. Each school year this site enables a few high functioning students with Autism and CLC therapy to develop successful inclusion readiness skills. CLC’s successful programs later lead to expansion of summer camps, social kills development groups, OT and SLP services, ABA eligibility assessments, ABA clinical services, Relationship Development Intervention programs, Before and After school inclusion programs, seminars and hands on training for school district paraprofessionals, teachers and parents, Inclusion in schools and community programs and a Non public School that was founded in 2005.
TEAM OF PROFESIONALS
This diverse team of specialist, allows for the development and implementation of a highly individualized programs that better meets the needs of the individual child and family. Our collaborative teams of professionals consist of special education teachers, inclusion specialist, Speech and language pathologists, psychologists, Occupational therapist, Relationship Development Intervention (RDI) Specialist, Mental Health Resource Specialist (MHRS), child development and Behavior Specialist and other experienced Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) specialist.
PRAVALENCE OF AUTISM
Autism affects 1.77 million people in the United States. Estimates are that as many as 1 in every 166 children is born with some form of autism, with 24,000 new cases diagnosed each year. Autism is the fastest growing serious developmental disability in the country.
